ジャズ・ボイパフルーティスト / 作曲家
3歳からピアノ、10歳からフルート、19歳からサックスを始める。
力強い多彩な音色とシャープなフレーズに定評があり、ジャズ評論の重鎮、瀬川昌久氏には
「繊細な美しさとジャズ的にホットに盛り上げる太い音色のパッショネイトな表現とを両立できている」
と評される。
また、日本人初のボイパフルート奏者であり、フルートの演奏とボイスパーカッションを同時に演奏するボイパフルート(正式名称: Beat Boxing Flute奏法)を日本のフルート奏者としては唯一マスターし、数々のメディアに取り上げられている。
ジャズ専門月刊誌 JAZZ JAPAN「2010年代に頭角を現した新鋭アーティスト60」に選出。

2005年             ガルフアイランド高等学校　パフォーマンスアート科 入学
2007年        Canada West Coast Jazz Festival、Canada National Jazz Festival金賞受賞
カンザスウェスリアン大学ミュージックパフォーマンス科修士課程入学
2009年        バークリー音楽大学パフォーマンス科修士課程編入
2011年        バークリー音楽大学パフォーマンス科修士課程修了
拠点をニューヨークに移す
2013年        拠点を日本に移す　全国でライブ活動を開始
2015年        若手の登竜門とされる『第3回ちぐさ賞』にてグランプリ、およびベストパフォーマンス賞を獲得
2016年        Chigusa RecordsからCD、アナログレコードを同時リリース
2017年         ロンドンにてボイパフルートのWorkshopを開催
2019年         2作目のリーダーアルバムをリリース　総勢13名が参加

Erisa Ogawa is a Flutist and a Composer; originally from Yokohama, Japan. Born in 1989.

She went to a junior high school in Japan and went to a high school in Canada where she spent her high school life on a beautiful little island called Salt Spring Island, where she experienced Jazz for the first time.

She was a member of a concert band in Japan but ever since she went to Canada, Erisa started to join Jazz band and Jazz Combo in which she tried to learn Jazz through listening.

 When she was in grade 12, her Jazz combo won the first prize at the Canada national music festival and, earned the most outstanding instrumental award in her high school career.

After her graduation, Erisa decided to devote the rest of  her life to be musician.

Then Erisa went to a University in Kansas.

She received second prize for Talent show in University in Kansas where she studied music performance for a year and selected to participate in the 2008 KANSAS intercollegiate band representing the university. 

After going to the University for a year, Erisa joined " Berklee College of music Summer Performance programs" by Getting a scholarship. After joining the program, She became a student at the College by getting scholarship and took Performance as her Major. 

She perticipated in many concerts and recitals In Boston and got

"Performance Division Chair Award " in 2011.

After She graduated from the college in 2012 , She moved to NYC to perform. 

She is now playing at many places with a lot of musicians in NYC and also 

leading her Jazz flute band . 

         

Her musical style is  Jazz , Brazilian Jazz, Funk, Latin, R&B, Bossa Nova , and Classical Music.
